Surface Laptop 4 Dangerous Battery Swelling - Emergency Same-Day Repair

We treated this as an emergency priority repair due to safety concerns. Surface Laptop batteries are located under the keyboard, requiring screen removal first due to Surface's unique construction. We carefully removed the PixelSense screen to access internals, then safely extracted the dangerously swollen battery following hazmat protocols. The swelling had slightly bent the aluminum chassis, which we carefully straightened using precision tools. We installed a new high-capacity battery and reassembled the device, testing for proper keyboard/trackpad alignment. The entire keyboard deck was inspected for damage - fortunately the swelling was caught before permanent deformation.
